My practice draws on the connections between ancestral heritage and the digital era, working across photography, moving image, digital media and painting. I am interested in the tensions between the organic and the algorithmic, and in the contrasting fluidities of water, earth and the internet - interconnected landscapes that shape memory, identity and perception.
Through processes of abstraction, fragmentation and reconstruction, I make works that dissolve the boundaries between physical and virtual experience. Abstraction becomes a space of reflection and reconfiguration, where familiar forms are destabilised and reimagined, and new relationships between image, memory and identity emerge.
My work examines how we inhabit multiple worlds at once, creating transitional landscapes where personal histories, collective memories and technological environments coexist. These are spaces that invite viewers to navigate identities that are not fixed but continually reconstructed, through the shifting relationship between the material, the natural and the digital.
